In groups of 4 or 5, you will be designing and building a website or service. The hand in date for both group and individual pieces of work will be on Friday, 16/12/11.

Projects

Either pick an existing website or part of a website and redesign it

or

Design a new website based on your own ideas

In groups, you need to produce the following documentation (30% of the total mark):

• Site objectives
• A competitor analysis
• User research and personas
• Wireframe sketches and design ideas
• Key user journeys
• A site structure

In groups, you need to produce a working website or prototype using web technologies (20% of the total mark).

Individually, you need to produce some further documentation (50% of the total mark):

• A blog or site of your activity, progress, learning and reflection that you experience throughout the course of the project. The sorts if things I'd like to hear about are: backround reading and research, how you apply that to your projects, how the project is progressing, key decisions youtook or didn't and the effect that had, and reflection on things you do differently next time.
